Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Are you Insured?
A - Yes, JE Inflatables & Party Services carries a £5Million Public Liabilty Insurance policy, a copy of this is available on request.
Q - How do I book?
A - Our preferred method is by telephoning us. However, you can also message us by email, SMS or via our Facebook page. You can also complete and send the enquiry form to us that you will find on our website. Please see our Contact Us section.
Q - How much notice do I need to give when booking?
A - We always recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment. We do get extremely busy all year round, even more so in the Summer months. A good couple of months is a great amount of time to secure your slot with us, although we have been known to take bookings just a day or two before the event. However much notice you are able to give - it's always worth a call! For Personalised Sweet Cones, Party Bags, Party Boxes and Party Food Boxes we require at least two weeks notice.
Q - What do the Prices include?
A - All of our prices include delivery and collection, assembly and dismantling of the equipment. There are no hidden charges. Free Delivery to all Towns and Villages that are listed in Areas we cover. If your area is not listed here, please do Contact Us and we can advise you of any delivery charges. Finally, if you are unable to provide us with a power supply, we can offer you Generator Hire for an additional charge.
Q - When are your Bouncy Castles etc. available?
A - All of our products and services are available to hire/purchase 7 days a week all year round, including Bank Holidays.
Q - How long do we get the equipment for?
A - As long as you require! A standard day hire is generally 9am to 5pm but we are quite flexible to alter these time to work around you. We can deliver equipment as early as 7am and collect as late as 7pm. If you require collection later than 7pm, there will be an additional Late Collection Charge of £20. Overnight Hire is also available for an extra £30, for collection the following morning. Hires for parties in villages halls etc are normally between 2 and 5 hours and we can usually arrange delivery and collection times to suit you.
Q - How do I pay?
A - Payment is generally cash on delivery. However we do accept payment by Bank Transfer and Card. Contact Us if you have any queries about payments.
Q - Do I have to pay a Deposit?
A - No deposit required.
Q - Can I make a reservation?
A - A reservation works slightly different as it is not classed as a confirmed booking. We have had customers contact us to reserve equipment, before they have even booked a venue! In these cases, we charge a £20 non-refundable reservation fee, which will be deducted from your outstanding balance when confirming your booking. We have to apply this charge because whilst we are reserving equipment for you, it is preventing others from booking it on that date which may lead to loss of business for us if you decided to not go ahead with your event/occasion.
Q - What happens if I need to cancel?
A - You can cancel at any time. We understand that unexpected things can happen in life, which can prevent you from going ahead with your hire/booking. We do not charge a cancellation fee. All we ask is that you try and give us as much notice as possible.
Q - What happens if it's raining or windy?
A - Most of our inflatables are fitted with a raincover, however this does not guarantee 100% protection. These raincovers are not designed for torrential downpours but will handle slight showers if it cannot be avoided. Safety is paramount and we will not set up any of our equipment in potentially dangerous conditions such as high winds and heavy rain. We will contact you on the morning of your hire and let you know if the weather will prevent us from going ahead. Due to the Great British weather and its unpredictable habits of changing throughout the day, sometimes bad weather conditions can occur during your hire. In these circumstances, we just ask that you turn all inflatables off until the weather improves or when we arrive to collect it.
Inflatables cannot be used in Wind conditions above 24mph. The hirer is responsible for monitoring wind speeds and taking the appropriate action to avoid accidents and injury. We shall happily provide you with an anemometer to measure wind speeds if necessary.
Q - How long does it take to set up and pack away?
A - On average, setting up a Bouncy Castle takes around 20 minutes but time really depends on what equipment you are hiring. Soft Play, for example takes slightly longer due to more trips back and forth! Access is also a key factor for time, we can work faster when we have a clear route and area to set up in. When hiring Village Hall type venues, we recommend that you allow us 30 minutes either side of your party for setting up and packing away. Please consider this when making enquiries at your chosen Venues.
Q - Will you arrive on time?
A - We are extremely proud of our 100% track record for arriving on time for deliveries and collections! Each van driver has a copy of a schedule for the day ahead with your specific delivery and collection times recorded. We always ensure that we leave a sufficient amount of time to get to each job to avoid delays. Please note - although our previous track record for punctuality has been outstanding, we are unable to predict future problems or unforeseen circumstances such as road accidents that may prevent us getting to you on time. Should these situations occur, we shall notify you immediately and assure you that we will get there as soon as we possibly can.
Q - How will I know the general Health & Safety Rules of hiring a Bouncy Castle?
A - All customers are required to read and sign our Health & Safety disclaimer before any equipment will be left. You will need to sign two copies, one for you to keep and one for our records. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using the equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure that they are fully adhered to at all times. Please see our BIHA Safety Guide for an example of Health & Safety regulations that you must follow. The 'No Adults' rule only applies to Children's Bouncy Castles!
